November 2025
6th Still lots have been going on in the past week. A huge shout out to the helpers who have been in recently continuing with the finishing touches to get us over the line for when the building inspector visits in the next week or so, you are all amazing. This week so far it’s been all about fixtures, fittings and furniture.
The toilets have had the cubicles finished, toilet roll holders installed and door signage put up. The kitchen has started to be safety proofed and been given a good clean too! The kitchenette area upstairs has been plumbed in properly and is starting to look usable.
As you can also see we have had extra signage put up so that it can be clearly seen from the road as well!!!

October 2025
30th I managed to make a visit to the building today having been off for a few days this week and was most relieved to see that the cubicles in the ladies toilets have started to be fitted! Lots more coats of paint on stairs, cleaning up of the ceilings, baby changers have been installed and the tidy up is well underway. Don’t forget to continue to pray for things getting completed in time for the building inspection.
16th What an exciting week it’s been in the building progress, we now have our name above the door!!!!, and a prayerful date for out first Sunday. Please continue to pray for favour with building control for the next inspection and also for the alarm and fire procedures to all be in place, we are so close and before long we will be able to say we finally have a place to call home.
10th It’s been a very productive start to the month, with lots of coats of paint added to walls and ceilings and huge strides in the carpentry and tiling, with doors and frames fitted and the tiling being done in the kitchen/café area.

September 2025
28th It’s been another significant month in the the renovations process and we have had yet another productive few weeks. The kitchen has had it’s first installation, there has been several litres of paint applied in many areas of the building from ceilings walls and auditorium. The toilets and hand basins have been installed and several metres of cabling has also been installed. It really feels like the end could be so near. It’s been a monumental effort over the last few weeks and it really does show. To those who come and help so diligently on a weekly basis and to those who have given what skills and spare time they have we are so grateful.
As we continue towards the end of this first phase and are thinking about being able to move in there is still plenty to do, the more help we have the quicker things will be finished. August 2025
28th August feels like we have seen the most change in the building in recent months, I visited earlier in the week to see what a fantastic job the flooring company have done and what a difference it makes in the main lobby/toilets/cafe area. Upstairs they have also laid some flooring in the toilet and in one of the rooms at the back which will be most likely used for kids work, more doors have been hung upstairs and lots more paint has been applied too!
12th A couple of visits to the building this week and you can see the development in such a short space of time. The lights in the café area have been installed, the boarding around the main glass doors in the auditorium has been completed and the doors are starting to be hung upstairs. The team are doing such an incredible job, we are so blessed to have a church family who are selflessly giving their time and skills to get the building ready.
5th It’s been a really busy start to the month.
This week we have had contractors in fitting the ceiling, what a massive difference it has made to the light in the space, check out the photos they speak for themselves.
There has been more boarding of the walls in the auditorium and upstairs the plasterers are continuing to tape and skim the joins of the plasterboard.
The plumbing is also nearly at the point of being able to install the toilets.

1st WOW you can really see the difference in these latest photos of all the hard work undertaken last month. Further work on the electrics have been done, ceiling lights in the auditorium and lights and sockets are now being installed upstairs.

Upstairs has also been cleared and preparations are well underway to start painting as well!
So how can you help?? 8th In the space of one week since I last visited the site, it is very evident at the amount of work that has gone on, the downstairs ‘cafe’ area has been completely cleared ready for the ceilings to be fitted and the painting has started, you can really start to get a sense of the space we have.
The cupboard, stairs and landing upstairs have all been fitted with automatic lights it makes such a difference!
June 2025
16th It’s been another busy start to the month as a lot more plaster board has gone up, drainage for the toilets and water have started to take shape. Lighting is well under way both upstairs and down and the rooms upstairs are really starting to look and feel like usable spaces! We have had more contractors in sealing the the joins in the plasterboards ready for painting and doing some pipework as well.

It’s been a busy start to the month already as contractors arrived on site to start installing windows and doors!
16th What a transformation having the windows fitted has made to the building. Many people have mentioned how the new doors and windows have made such an incredible difference to the light in the building, the photos speak for themselves.

30th I visited the site this week to pick up post and see what the latest progress was and so encouraged by all the changes just in the last 2 weeks. As you will see from the photos the ventilation has been installed, rooms are really starting to take shape and the kitchen has been laid out in preparation for being fitted.

Significant progress was made in this month.
There is usually someone on site 6 days a week as there is always plenty of work to do.
Saturday mornings are usually a hive of activity, as there is a ‘working party’ from the church family with various degrees of skills and abilities regularly there, getting stuck in helping to bring our new home to life!
Since 2005 it has been our vision to have a family home of our own. A place to gather, worship together and a safe space for people to receive the love of God in tangible ways.
This year (2025) as a church we celebrated a significant milestone birthday. We turned 30, so it seems timely that by the end of this significant year it is our hope to finally make that vision a reality.

Nov 2023 – Purchase negotiations, getting a mortgage and preparing plans and planning application for change of use
Apr 2024
June 2024 Planning permission granted for change of use
July 2024 Took ownership of our own building (3 Little End Road)
Aug – Sep 2024 Detailed design drawn up and contracts negotiated for supplier
Oct 2024 Work started on roof and guttering
Nov 2024 Internal work began, the mezzanine, new staircase and heating/aircon were installed
Dec – Feb 2025 Initial work stalled as we had to redesign firewalls to building control satisfaction and get quotes from subcontractors.
March 2025 Block work and firewall were finished
