Since 2017 we have been dedicated in supporting students and young people in our area through established mentoring programmes, with the objective of helping students make great choices that help them stay in school.
Since 2021, we have been in partnership with Youth For Christ and working with other churches in the town, serving students who attend Longsands Academy and Ernulf Academy through mentoring and workshops on subjects such as overcoming anxiety and recognising coercive relationships.
As part of our partnership with Youth For Christ and other St Neots churches, we support Youth Cafés:
These run during term time. It’s a space for young people to come together to hang out, play games, do their homework and enjoy refreshments.
For information about the Youth Cafés please email youth@opendoorchurch.co.uk
Beginning as Open House many years ago, our Youth team runs social evenings, where young people are encouraged to invite their friends.
There’s are games, activities and spaces to relax and chat, as well as a sweet-shop for refreshments.
Things look a bit different right now so for up to date information please email youth@opendoorchurch.co.uk
For updates on Youth Socials, follow ODC Youth on Instagram and Facebook.
From January 2017 to March 2020 we were using the TLG mentoring program (this became difficult to maintain due to restrictions during the COVID pandemic).
In 2018, we were involved in supporting the Higher Cambs tour, an initiative reaching young people with the gospel through school workshops and concerts.
